This weekend I saw a beautiful dress in Marks and Spencers, part of their designer Autograph range but I could only get it for the 3 year old. Hmmm dilemma, the hunt continues but here is a picture and link of the dress! It looks much nicer in the flesh!

That was the cry of me and my husband when we first heard about Lelli Kellys several years ago as our eldest started to have an opinion on what she did or didn’t want to wear! I’m not paying that for impractical shoes that won’t last! So we didn’t purchase them and after several years we and a letter to Father Christmas we the first pair of Lellu Kellys arrived. And so I eat humble pie! They were amazing, they lasted well, they were easy to clean, they didn’t fall apart and she wore and wore and wore them. In fact they were in streams, climbed walls and trees but allowed her the sparkle she wanted. Sequins stayed on and they looked great despite all their use. I have also purchased on different occsions, sequined pumps from other shops that look good but within 4 weeks my girls have worn through the heel. So if I add the price up over time Lelli Kellys are actually a bargain!

What do you think?

Lelli Kellys are made in Italy and can be purchased online here: http://www.lellikellyshop.co.uk/

Can’t show you the pictures as later that day my iphone had an incident involving my three year old and the loo! None the less with six kids we talked a bit about clothes expense and washing. Despite living miles and miles apart, divided by an ocean, one of her children and two of mine where wearing at least one item from Keedo. Why? Because they are just the best clothes. The satisfy my taste for practical, hard wearing and easy to wash. But the girls feel pretty and the boys feel smart. They are unusual and regularly draw comments. The other great news is that they are ethical. Clothes are made with organic cotton and Keedo employs and supports families in the local Cape Town Community. You can find out more about Keedo at their website where you can buy online or search a local stockist. Sadly my local stockist has closed but you can be sure I will be purchasing some new clothes online to keep my four kids well dressed and me socially responsible!!!

Are designer clothes for children worth the money? Do they last longer, look better, fit kids properly and give them an individual sense of style or are we just conforming to media hype and pushing our kids down the road of fashion at younger and younger ages?

This blog will look at kids fashion from the big designers like Armani, Dolce and Gabana, Dior and Gucci the more traditional designers such as Little Darlings and Sarah Louise as well as smaller indpendent ranges like Keedo and Amplified Kids. We will look at whether these brands are worth the money, if they can bring style to your kids without breaking the bank and if in fact you can look as good with clothes from Primark, Asda or Next.

Whatever your budget or style we will show you what is available and how you can make the most of your pounds for your kids designer clothes!

I would love your feedback, what do you dress your children in? Where do you buy them?

Happy reading!
